CPD, Children's Advocacy Center partnering to educate community about child abuse
Chattanooga police and the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) are working together to educate the community about child abuse.
On April 6, CAC, CPD and volunteers will go door to door and hand out door hangers that will provide lifesaving information about how to prevent, educate and report child abuse, a CAC spokesperson explained.
"Our goal is simple: Get the right information to the right people at the right time to help children," a CAC spokesperson said.
CAC is hoping to have over 100 people volunteer to help.
"The CAC, along with you, are banding together to spread awareness about child abuse prevention and services," a CAC spokesperson added. "Gather your friends, family, and co-workers to join us."
The event will take place from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
