A 2.3 magnitude earthquake shook an area near Maryville, TN Monday morning, which is south of Knoxville.

The quake was located near the center of the Blount County town at a depth of 0.37 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit about 10:30am, just north of the intersection of East Broadway Avenue and East Lamar Alexander Parkway, according to the Maryville Daily Times.

Three quakes rattled the nearby area last week.
