Spring break has finally arrived for Hamilton County Schools (HCS).

While school is out for a few days, a number of businesses in the Chattanooga area want to show their appreciation to public school teachers.

"Public school teachers work hard all year to ensure our kids get a great education," a City of Chattanooga spokesperson said. "This spring break, let’s say thank you by helping public school teachers enjoy Chattanooga."

From Saturday, March 16 through Sunday, March 24, employees with Chattanooga Headstart and Hamilton County Schools are being treated to special rewards and discounts at over 40 various restaurants and businesses in the Tennessee Valley.

Some participating eateries and businesses include Chicken Salad Chick, Miller's Ale House, Barn Door Boutique, Eddie Bauer, Nooga Paws and Escape Mission Chattanooga.

Teachers will need to show either their HCS or City ID at the participating businesses.
