UPDATE: HCSO Top 12 Most Wanted suspect arrested, charged with especially aggravated kidnapping
UPDATE: A kidnapping suspect, who was added to the Hamilton County Sheriff Office's Top 12 Most Wanted list, is now in custody.
Jeffrey Ray Reed was arrested Friday on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault.
According to an affidavit, Reed is accused of assaulting and kidnapping a woman he knew earlier this month.
The victim told officers that on March 10, she was dropped off with Reed at the John A. Patten Recreation Center.
She told police she felt "uneasy" and wanted to get away from Reed.
One of Reed's friends showed up at the rec center and invited them to go with him to his place, court documents said.
Police explained that the victim said she did not want to go with them.
"I could tell how the night was going to go," the woman told officers.
The woman said she attempted to get away from Reed, but he yelled at her, chased her, knocked her to the ground, kicked her and stabbed her, according to the affidavit.
She said Reed then yelled at her to get up because someone would call the police and he wasn't going to jail, court documents continued. The victim said he threatened to kill her if he got into trouble.
Reed's friend finally helped her up, and Reed took her to a shack in the woods on Rose Circle in Lookout Valley.
The victim said Reed held her there against her will, and on the way to the shack, he got rid of her phone so she could not call for help, court documents explained.
She was able to escape the next morning after Reed went to sleep. Court documents say she told officers she was able to make it to a hotel on Cummings Highway where she called a friend for help.
The friend took her to an area hospital.
The victim suffered multiple injuries, including cuts on her back and facial injuries, the affidavit continued.
Police are still working to identify Reed's friend and learn more about his role in the incident. The victim told officers he was at the shack with them for most of the night.

Reed's next court date is scheduled for March 25.
