UPDATE: Showers and storms will move through the Tennessee Valley tonight. Some of the storms could have damaging winds along with a small chance for a tornado.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed us in a slight risk area for damaging storms. This is the prime time of the year for severe weather, so you should have all your family in the know about what to do in your home if severe storms and tornados approach.

Lows tonight will be in the mid 50’s as the storms fade out later tonight after midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Friday with a west wind and highs in the mid 60’s. Any leftover showers will end in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Friday night will be cooler with mid 30’s and mostly cloudy skies.
