Man suffered third-degree burns in early Saturday vehicle fire
A man was taken to an area hospital with third-degree burns after an early morning vehicle fire.
Around 2:30 am, 911 received a call about a vehicle fire and structure endangerment in the 2800 block of Suck Creek Road.
When Chattanooga firefighters arrived, they confirmed the vehicle fire and found a man suffering from severe burns, Amy Maxwell, spokesperson for Hamilton County Emergency Management, said.
Firefighters quickly put the car and porch fires out, but damages are not known at this time.
Maxwell said the man had third-degree burns on 50 percent of his body.
His current condition is not known at this time.
The fire is being investigated by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
