UPDATE: Free RAM medical clinic in Rhea County continues Sunday
Those in need of medical, dental and vision care will be able to get those services for free this weekend in Rhea County, TN as Remote Area Medical holds a two-day clinic.
Remote Area Medical, also known as RAM, has been operating free clinics around the world for the past 34 years to help people who need medical care, but can't afford it.
RAM's clinics draw a large number of people when announced, so plan on getting there early. Those unable to stand for long periods of time should bring folding chairs.
The clinic will be at Rhea County Middle School in Evensville, TN. The school will open its parking lot area no later than 12:00am Saturday, March 9, with numbered tickets being distributed at 3:00am.
The same process will be used on both clinic days, Saturday and Sunday.
In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM’s control, ticketing may occur earlier than 3:00am. RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.
Dental, vision and medical services are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic. This event is free and open to the public.
