Grundy Co. deputies find fentanyl during traffic stop
A DUI traffic stop led to a fentanyl bust in Grundy County.
Early Friday morning, Grundy County deputies pulled a woman over because they suspected she was driving under the influence.
While they were investigating, deputies found meth wrapped in one dollar bills. They also found what they thought was fentanyl wrapped in a $5 bill.
Deputies tested the drug and confirmed it was the deadly drug fentanyl.
Donna Shadrick, 47, was taken into custody and charged with:
- Possession of Schedule II drugs
- Possession of Schedule IV drugs
- Possession of Drugs for Resale
Deputies also seized $750, the sheriff's office added.
Shadrick is due in court on March 5, and a bond has not been set.
