Cloud cover is beginning to increase again from west to east across our area, making for a mostly cloudy evening ahead. Overnight, temperatures will drop into the low 40s. 

Rain will return to our area on Sunday with a few light showers in the predawn hours. The more consistent and moderate rain will be from mid-morning through the afternoon on Sunday. Across our area expect about 0.5-1.25" of rainfall. There may be a few isolated thunderstorms. However, the strongest part of the system with the heaviest rain and storms will be to the south of our area. Sunday will be cooler with highs in the low 50s.

Then, much colder air will arrive Sunday night into the work week. Highs on Monday will be in the mid-40s with lows in the mid-20s, and cloud cover will decrease during the day to partly sunny. Tuesday will have scattered clouds and will be colder with highs in the low 40s. Overnight into Wednesday morning will likely be the coldest of the week with lows in the low 20s. The day on Wednesday will be bright and sunny, but still cold with highs in the low 40s. 

Temperatures will warm slightly on Thursday with highs around 50 with clouds increasing during the day. A chance for rain returns on Friday with highs in the mid-50s.
