The Tennessee Department of Transportation hopes to have two lanes of traffic around the area impacted by the landslide on I-24 by March 15.

First TDOT has to clear 5,000 dump trucks worth of dirt.

Then TDOT plans to work around the clock to build the two lanes about 12 feet from the impacted area.

Workers will then place a permanent cap on top of the hill before moving traffic back onto the current lanes.
