Clear skies will continue this evening into the nighttime hours with overnight lows in the low 30s, near freezing.

Monday will be another beautiful day, mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s. The continued break from rainfall tomorrow is greatly needed as many area creeks and rivers are still rising at this time. Please, remain cautious near swollen waterways.

Tuesday will be a mix of sun and clouds as cloud cover will increase later in the day with mild highs in the low 60s. There is an isolated chance for a shower Tuesday evening.

A chance for scattered rain showers returns for the first part of Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low 60s. The best rain chances will be south of Chattanooga. Then, Thursday will have more widespread showers with highs in the low 60s, and then mostly cloudy on Friday with a chance for scattered showers again and highs in the mid-60s.

A stronger cold front will approach on Saturday, producing showers and then cooler temperatures with overnight lows likely below freezing across the region. Rain totals from Wednesday through Saturday should be nothing like what we experienced for the past week and a half. As of now, estimated totals for all days are 0.75-1.25".
