Bradley Central advances, East Hamilton comes back in 4th, complete round-up from Friday night's region tournament action
The Bradley Central Bearettes took their first step in defending their TSSAA Region 3-AAA title as they defeat White County 63-48 at home. The Bearettes were led by Samford commit, Anna Walker, who had 16 points. Bradley Central will take on Cookeville on Monday at home. The Lady Cavs defeated Cleveland at home.
East Hamilton found themselves down by as many as nine points to visiting Rhea County, but when you have Madison Hayes on your team, anything's possible. The highly-touted Division-I recruit had 29 points and 18 rebounds as the Lady Hurricanes eliminated the Lady Golden Eagles, 56-49. East Hamilton will now play Stone Memorial on Monday at Bradley Central with a trip to the region final on the line. The Lady Panthers defeated McMinn County to advance.
Meigs County took down Tyner to advance in Region 3-AA. The Lady Tigers will play Red Bank, who defeated Sweetwater 58-51, on Monday at Loudon H.S.
Signal Mountain eliminated Sequoyah, 45-27, at home advancing to play McMinn Central who defeated Brainerd, 63-58. This game will also take place at Loudon H.S. on Monday.
Sequatchie, Bledsoe, and Grundy County were all eliminated in Region4-AA.
Whitwell sneaks by Trousdale County, 60-58, at home. The Lady Tigers will play Clay County in the Region 3-A semifinals on Monday at Sequatchie County H.S.
South Pittsburg, Lookout Valley, Arts & Sciences, and Sale Creek were all eliminated.
Tellico Plains advances in Region 2-A. They'll play Oneida on Monday at Roane State.
