UPDATE: A former Chattanooga Police Department Lieutenant was featured on the Today Show Thursday morning.

Today's Hoda Kotb showed the video of now Hamilton County Chief Deputy Austin Garrett signing off earlier this month after 25 years with CPD as her 'Morning Boost.'

The best part, of course, was that Chief Deputy Garrett's daughter was the dispatcher.

The video brought both Kotb and Craig Melvin to tears.

Channel 3's media partner 103.7 KISS FM responded to Today's video on Twitter.
