The Federal Bureau of Investigation is joining forces with local law enforcement for a daring armed robbery at a Chattanooga jewelry store.

Jason Pack with the FBI has confirmed they are assisting in the investigation of an armed robbery that took place Wednesday night at the Jared jewelry store on Gunbarrel Road near Hamilton Place Mall.

Chattanooga police said three black male suspects, who are believed to be in their twenties, threatened workers and smashed jewelry cases.

They got away with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

The suspects were last seen traveling in a black Chevy Trailblazer.

An employee at the store, who was inside at the time of the robbery, did not want to speak on camera but tells Channel 3 that no one was harmed.

She did say, however, that everyone is still shaken up from the incident. She also told us that this has never happened to her before.

Glass jewelry display cases inside the store are still shattered and covered with brown cloth Thursday morning.

The manager at the store says he is unable to comment and referred us to their corporate office, who also declined to comment and referred us to the incident report.

Manager Bobby McDaniel says their loss assessor will be coming to the store later today.
