With some wintry weather and arctic level temperatures on the way, I thought it might be good to get Your 3 Cents on what to pack in your car just so you are prepared for any winter emergency.  Here are some Facebook comments from you.

Rocelia said, "A Ziploc bag with dry socks."

Crystal said, "Hot Hands / hand warmers."

Angie is keeping it real. She said, "5 gallon bucket, TP, water..."

And perhaps the must useless (but still my favorite) suggestion for what to keep in your car during winter comes from Sean who said, "A tauntaun, lightsaber, and some cards. Play cards with the tauntaun. If he freezes, use the lightsaber to cut him open and use him as shelter, like Han and Luke in the Empire Strikes Back."

In addition to the lightsaber, you also may want to consider keeping the following items stocked in your car as recommended by AAA:

Winter Emergency Kit:

  • Charged cell phone and charger (Be sure to install the WRCB Weather app!)
  • Emergency numbers
  • Drinking water/snacks
  • First aid kit
  • A bag of sand, salt or kitty litter
  • Ice scraper
  • Blankets and extra warm clothing
  • Jumper cables or automatic charger
  • Flares

  • Fluid levels
  • Lights, brakes, wipers
  • Tire tread/pressure
  • Battery

That's my 3 Cents.  If you have something on your mind, I want to hear about it!
