Blood pressure medication recall
Prinston Pharmaceuticals is calling the medications Irbesartan and Irbesartan HCTZ.
The medications are used to control high blood pressure and heart failure.
The Food and Drug Administration says the medications were found to have more than the acceptable levels of the cancer-causing substance, N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA).
Patients should contact their pharmacist or physician about an alternative treatment.
The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
