A grant is making it possible for Hamilton County seniors to get their pets spayed or neutered at a discounted rate.

"At ChattaNeuter we receive calls daily from seniors requesting financial assistance to spay or neuter their pets," a spokesperson for ChattaNeuter spokesperson said.

The spay and neuter clinic received a grant from the Bissell Pet Foundation that will allow them to help local seniors living on a fixed income.

"Our low prices can fit most budgets but for many people, finding the additional funds for surgery can be difficult," a clinic spokesperson said. "We understand your pets are like family members and we want to do everything possible to help keep you together and healthy so we are offering this special, discounted service thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation."

ChattaNeuter is encouraging seniors to make an appointment as soon as possible because "the offer is only good as long as grant funding lasts."
