Wet weather on the way
Good Tuesday. We are starting the day with clouds and colder weather. Temps are in the low to mid 30s. Skies are cloudy this morning, and you MAY see a light drizzle or flurry this morning. It won't be much to write home about, though. Skies will clear through the day as we warm to a still cool 47 degrees.
Tonight will be another cold one. We will drop to about 30 in Chattanooga, and outside the city we will drop into the mid to upper 20s. Wednesday afternoon will see a fairly pleasant 53 degree. Skies Wednesday will be mostly sunny.
Thursday will be appropriately cool. Temps will range from 34 in the morning to 50 in the afternoon. We will also see clouds building through the day, yielding light scattered showers late in the afternoon and lasting through the overnight.
Friday will start with clouds and maybe a lingering sprinkle or two. Most of your Friday, however, will see more mild weather and partly cloudy skies. We will start the day in the low 40s, and climb all the way up to the upper 50s by the mid afternoon.
Saturday a cold front will approach from the west. Ahead of the front we will actually see warm air moving in. We will start Saturday in the low 40s. Rain will move in late morning and last through the day as we soar to a high of about 60. The rain will increase in intensity Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. Rainfall will be heavy at times and amounts will range from 1.5" to 2".
Overnight the rain will taper off to a few isolated sprinkles that could linger into early Sunday morning. Temps will be right around 40 degrees, but we still may see a little-mixed precipitation in the higher elevations where the temps are a little cooler.
Through the day Sunday we will clear out, and we will be much colder with temps only reaching the mid 40s.
Monday will be dry and bitterly cold. The day will start with temps in the 10s, and we will only climb to a cold high of 38.
