UPDATE: Suspect in deadly S. Holtzclaw Avenue crash sentenced
UPDATE: The man suspected in a fatal crash on South Holtzclaw Avenue that killed two people in January 2019 has pleaded guilty.
Dwight Turner Jr. has pleaded guilty to two counts of Vehicular Homicide. About a year ago, the truck Turner was driving hit a van on South Holtzclaw Avenue, which killed two people in the van.
He then took off but was later arrested in Austell, Georgia almost two weeks later.
Turner was sentenced to a total of six years in prison.
PREVIOUS STORY: Two suspects, wanted by Chattanooga police in connection to a deadly crash on S. Holtzclaw Avenue on January 3, were booked at the Hamilton County Jail on Thursday.
Police say 26-year-old Dwight Turner Jr. left the scene of the crash and was later arrested by the South East Regional Task Force in Austell, Georgia on January 15.
Records show Turner was booked at the Hamilton County Jail on January 17.
Turner is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, domestic assault and aggravated assault.
He is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 22.
Records show 21-year-old Sara Ashlee Meredith, a passenger in the vehicle Turner was driving, was also booked at the Hamilton County Jail on Thursday.
Chattanooga police say she was wanted for Leaving Scene of Accident involving Death or Personal Injury.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Suspects that left the scene of a fatal crash on South Holtzclaw Avenue have been apprehended by police.
According to the Chattanooga Police Department, Dwight Turner Jr. was arrested in Atlanta and charged with two counts of Vehicular Homicide and one count of Aggravated Assault.
Police also arrested two women who were with Turner the night of the accident. Sara Ashlee Meredith and Hailee Freedom Hicks have also been arrested and each charged with Leaving the Scene of Accident Involving Death or Personal Injury.

Dwight Turner Jr. was the driver of the Dodge Ram that struck a Chrysler TWC on January 3 in the 1400 block of South Holtzclaw Avenue, police say.
Two people lost their lives in the crash, and another person was critically injured.
Turner is 26 years old. He is 5'11" and weighs around 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

ORIGINAL STORY: Chattanooga Police have made an arrest in connection to a fatal crash that happened January 3 on S. Holtzclaw Avenue.
Court documents show Hailee Hicks, 22, was a passenger in the Dodge Ram that hit a van.
Two of the three people in the van died from their injuries. The driver of the van remains in critical condition.
Police say evidence shows shortly before the crash Hicks was seen getting into the back seat of the truck involved in the crash.
Hicks is charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident and failure to render aid.
The search continues for Dwight Turner, Junior who Chattanooga Police believe may have been the driver of the truck involved in the crash.
