Rain affecting morning commute; crashes reported
A crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 75 South near the I-24 split is causing a backup.
The crash happened just after 6:30 Friday morning and TDOT expects it to be cleared by 7:30 a.m.
The southbound left lane is blocked causing a backup for drivers taking 75 south into Georgia.
Earlier Friday morning a tractor-trailer jack-knifed on I-24 at the ridgecut blocking lanes.
Crews had the roadway reopened within a couple of hours.
The backup extended past the Germantown Road exit.
