Tennessee's sweetheart will celebrate a major milestone in her country singing career. Dolly Parton will be honored for her 50th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on January 4.

Parton performed at the Nashville icon for the first time at the age of 10, and later became a member in 1969.

To celebrate the achievement, The Opry will hold a special "Dolly Week" with a number of performances in October. The shows will take place October 10, 11 and 12.

Here's what you can expect for the performances:

  • October 10: Opry Country Classics will feature performances of Dolly's No. 1 hits.
  • October 11: Dolly's Mountain Souls- Bluegrass, Americana and Roots Music honor Dolly.
  • October 12: Dolly Parton's 50th Grand Ole Opry Anniversary Celebration featuring Dolly and other performers.

Tickets are now available for the October events, but the October 12 shows are sold out. The tickets went on sale back in November.

All shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium.
