A man is facing multiple charges after he fought with officers at Walmart Saturday.

Chattanooga police say Randall Lee Taylor was involved in a disorder in the electronics section of the Gunbarrel Road Walmart.

As officers approached Taylor, they could hear him yelling at employees. An officer said Taylor smelled strongly of marijuana, according to an arrest affidavit.

The officer asked Taylor to place his hands on the counter multiple times, but he refused even when backup arrived.

After a number of attempts to get Taylor to comply, the officer pulled their taser and said Taylor would be tased if he did not comply.

According to the arrest report, Taylor got mad and yelled, "oh, you think you're gonna tase me? Tase me!"

The officer asked Taylor again to put his hands on the counter, but he refused and was tased in the chest.

"Mr. Taylor then came at me in a very threatening and aggressive manner," the officer explained in the arrest report.

Taylor then began fighting another officer. The officer attempted several takedown techniques, but none of them worked "due to the large stature of Mr. Taylor" versus the officers' statures.

During the fight, Taylor attempted to take an officer's Taser. He was able to grab the trigger at one point and deploy the second set of prongs.

The officer said Taylor's behavior was "very threatening" because had he gotten the Taser, he could have found a way to get one of the officers' guns, according to the affidavit.

Taylor eventually stopped fighting, but he continued to try to take the officer's Taser, ripping the wires out.

He was finally taken into custody.

During the fight, several merchandise racks were broken and some merchandise was destroyed.

Taylor faces charges of two counts of aggravated assault on police, vandalism/ malicious mischief, resisting arrest or obstruction and disorderly conduct.

He is due in court on January 8.
