Pair wanted in northwest Georgia arrested for Dunlap home invasion
Two people, who are both wanted for separate incidents in northwest Georgia, were arrested in Dunlap Thursday night for a home invasion.
The home invasion happened at New Dimensions Complex on St. Clair Drive around 8:00 pm.
Police say 27-year-old Cody Allen Gann and 29-year-old Amanda Elizabeth Francis are accused of forcing their way into an 86-year-old man’s apartment and taking several items before fleeing the scene.
Officers were able to find Gann and Francis in under five minutes in the Rankin Avenue and State Street area.
Police say the pair had a wallet, keys and other personal documents that belonged to the 86-year-old victim. Gann and Francis also had bankcards and personal documents that belonged to at least 16 other people.
Police found that Gann was wanted out of Walker County for a probation violation on larceny charges and Francis was wanted out of Catoosa County on a warrant for making false statements to a law enforcement officer.
Both Gann and Francis were booked at the Sequatchie County Jail on Robbery and Aggravated Burglary charges.
They are being held without bond.
