When it's time to drag this year's tree out of the house, Chattanooga's Department of Public Works is poised and ready.
They will be collecting live Christmas trees at any of the city's five Recycle Centers until Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Location and hours for the Recycle Centers are:
Hours of Operation
- Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed on the following holidays
- New Year's Day
- Easter Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Service requests submitted through the CHATT311 app; users should select the “Brush Collection” option.
Residents should note this service is for live Christmas trees only. An artificial tree placed at the curbside requires a “Bulky Item” service request with the 311 system.
