Third arrest made in animal cruelty crackdown in Grundy County
The crackdown on animal cruelty in Grundy County continued over the weekend with a third arrest.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to a home on Gruetli-Laager where they found several dogs in poor condition.
The sheriff’s office says the owner of the dogs, 28-year-old Felisha Layne, could not prove that she had been feeding the dogs or providing them with any water.
Layne was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.
If anyone is interested in fostering any of the dogs, please call Captain Josh King at 931-692-3466.
