The evening will be mostly clear with cloud cover increasing after about 2AM with lows in the low to mid-30s.

Rain showers return on Sunday (60%). These will be light showers with accumulation around 0.1-0.25".  Showers will be scattered throughout the day, starting around 7am for our western counties until about 6pm for our far eastern counties. Then, isolated mountain rain showers, wintry mix for Sunday night in Cherokee and eastern Monroe Counties. Peak timing for the rain showers across the area is 10am-3pm. Highs on Sunday in the low 50s with overnight lows in the low 30s.

For Christmas Eve, Monday will dry out again with a mix of sun and clouds, and high temperatures near 50. Overnight, temperatures will likely drop below freezing with lows near 30. Christmas on Tuesday will have broken cloud cover with some sunshine and highs from 51-54. Wednesday will remain dry as both temperatures and cloud cover increase. It will be a partly sunny day with highs in the upper end of the mid-50s and mostly cloudy by night.

Rain returns on Thursday and Friday. As of now, the heaviest showers will be Thursday evening/night with the potential of a few thunderstorms. Temperatures will be warm both days with highs in the low to mid-60s.
