Showers will continue off and on for tonight and then through much of Friday.  Lows tonight will be in the mid-40's with highs on Friday only in the upper 40's early in the day.  Temperatures will be falling through the 40's in the afternoon.  On the second half of Friday, some of the rain will change over to sleet and snow in the higher elevations of the Cumberland plateau west of Chattanooga.  The best places to see any minor grassy accumulations will be west of the Sequatchie Valley.  By late afternoon and Friday night, the Blue Ridge mountains will see a good chance for some accumulations, especially above 2500 feet.

On Saturday skies will clear up with a seasonable high near 50.  On Sunday clouds will increase and a few scattered showers will move into the afternoon with highs again near 50.  Monday(Christmas Eve) and Tuesday (Christmas Day) will be mild with partly cloudy skies on Monday and just a few showers possible Christmas.

Wednesday will see mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-50s.  Next Thursday will see cloudy skies with highs in the upper 50's.  There could be some showers moving in late in the day and into Thursday night.   Paul Barys
