Good Morning Tennessee Valley,

Grab a cup of coffee and wait for the fog to lift (if you can) this morning. Visibility looks to be under 1 mile for many until 8AM CST, 9AM EST. A Dense Fog Advisory is valid until 8AM CST for DeKalb and Jackson, AL, and Franklin and Van Buren, TN counties for low visibility. Fog will lift by this time, leaving broken clouds. Look for increasing sunshine by noon with temperatures rebounding nicely today. It's a cool morning, with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. We should reach 50 by noon, seeing highs in the mid 50s by 3PM today.

Monday night looks to be clear with light winds again. Temperatures should be 3-5 degrees colder reaching 34 in the valley. Patchy fog will be possible early Tuesday morning, as well as a light frost. Some clouds will be increasing by late day Tuesday, we should start off with sunshine early.

Clouds will thicken by Wednesday ahead of the next system moving in Thursday morning. Rain showers look likely beginning Thursday, lasting through Friday evening, bringing 0.75" to 1" to Chattanooga this week, with locally higher amounts of 1" to 2" near the Smokies. Rainfall amounts and timing will become more specific as the week progresses, so please check in daily!
