UPDATE: More than $7,000 raised at Salvation Army's "Battle of the Bells"
UPDATE: Local media organizations came together on Friday to raise money for the Salvation Army through its annual "Battle of the Bells" at Hamilton Place Mall.
More than $7,000 was raised at this year's event, which go toward the Salvation Army's community programs.
For the second year in a row, the Channel 3 team took first place in the competition.

ORIGINAL STORY: On Friday December 14, Channel 3 will be competing in the Salvation Army's annual "Battle of the Bells" at Hamilton Place Mall.
Staff from Channel 3 and other local media organizations will be out all day at various locations throughout the mall.
The event is held to help the Salvation Army raise money for local community programs.
“Battle of the Bells” will be from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
