Good afternoon Tennessee Valley,

Winds will remain calm today under 5 mph, but the rising temperatures above 32 and the sunshine will help evaporate moisture on the roads this afternoon! Temperatures today will reach the upper 40s. Tonight, clouds will be increasing late, mainly after midnight. Temperatures will drop below 32 only for a few hours overnight mainly from 3am and 8am in Hamilton County. Roads should be fine for Chattanooga on Wednesday, meanwhile, decks will likely still be slick on Wednesday morning. Even with light winds and temperatures below 32 for a few hours, due to clouds, frosty windshields shouldn't be an issue on Wednesday morning.

The newest river forecast shows river levels subsiding. A Flood Warning looks to be valid still tonight and early Wednesday for the Coahulla Creek near Keiths Mill until Wednesday morning in Dalton. Some moisture still around the Keiths Mill Bridge in north Georgia could freeze tomorrow morning.

As we head into Wednesday, clouds return. Temperatures will remain in the upper 40s tomorrow, and clouds Wednesday night will keep temperatures above freezing in the upper 30s. Thursday night will bring the next rain chance-heading into Friday. A breeze looks to increase Thursday night as rain will be moving in, especially across north Georgia. Friday brings the best rain chance, where 0.50" to 0.75" looks likely during the day. An additional 0.25" to 0.50" is possible on Saturday as the system exits on Saturday evening.

Temperatures over the weekend will be in the 50s, and nights look to be in the mid-40s. At this point, the weekend looks to bring all precipitation in the form of rain! Please check periodically for new info.
