'SpongeBob SquarePants' creator Stephen Hillenburg dies at 57
According to multiple sources, creator of the Nickelodeon hit show, "SpongeBob SquarePants," Stephen Hillenburg has died at the age of 57 due to complications with ALS.
Hillenburg, who was originally a marine biology teacher, created 'SpongeBob' in the late 90s following his first hit, "Rocko's Modern Life."
He announced his ALS diagnosed back in 2017.
Hillenburg is survived by his wife and son.
