Good afternoon Tennessee Valley,

Clouds will persist for much of the day and evening. A west/northwest breeze will continue with winds gusting to 22 mph in the valley through 4PM today. This will bring a wind chill all day. We reached the high of the day too. This morning at 4AM, Chattanooga had a temperature of 54 before the cold front swept through. Temperatures will not rebound to the 50s today, but stay in the mid-40s in the afternoon. It looks to be mostly cloudy tonight too, but much colder in the upper 20s!

It will be cold on Tuesday morning with still a slight breeze ongoing. Areas on the plateaus will get a wind chill in the teens tomorrow morning, while those in the valley will get a wind chill in the low 20s.

Sunshine increases on Tuesday, but it's cold, as highs only reach the upper 30s for most! Tomorrow will be the coldest day of the season. The coldest day so far is November 14 with a high of 43. Even with sunshine tomorrow, it's likely we'll stay in the upper 30s. It will be clear on Tuesday night with lows in the mid 20s, making it an even colder start on Wednesday morning. Thankfully, winds will be much lighter come this time.

The middle of the week brings sunshine and cold temperatures.

The rain chance returns late Thursday night and heading into Friday. Those headed to events on Thursday, like Rock City's Enchanted Garden of Lights should be okay, as showers look to increase after midnight. Friday will bring rain showers. A preliminary look indicates rain amounts of 0.10" to 0.40" possible for the end of the week with the highest amounts across middle Tennessee in McMinn, Rhea, Bledsoe counties, and lesser amounts across north Georgia and north Alabama. The good news, is temperatures look to rebound by Thursday to the 50s, with nights returning to the 40s during this time and through the upcoming weekend.
