Mostly cloudy day turns into partly cloudy sky Saturday night
Cloud cover is continuing to persist over the TN Valley with high temperatures in the low to mid-50s today. Clouds will slowly decrease this evening and night to partly cloudy. Lows tonight will be in the upper 30s in the city. There is a chance for patchy fog development Sunday morning, especially near area rivers and lakes.
Sunday will be partly sunny and a warmer day with highs in the mid-60s. Scattered rain showers will move into the area on Sunday night with increasing cloud cover as well. Chances for showers begin around 7PM for our western counties until about 3AM on Monday morning for our eastern counties. Best rain chances for Chattanooga are from 9PM to 1AM. These showers will be scattered and light in nature with totals around 0.1", and overnight lows will be in the upper-30s.
Monday will usher in colder temperatures with highs only in the mid to upper 40s, and lows in the upper 20s. Monday will be partly sunny. Tuesday and Wednesday will also be cooler days, especially Tuesday with highs in the mid-40s. Fortunately, both Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly sunny with the cold temperatures.
Highs will return to the low 50s by Thursday with another slight chance of light rain Thursday night into Friday. Highs will increase again on Friday to the mid-50s.
