TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - According to AAA, Orlando tops the list of travel destinations for the Thanksgiving holiday. That means families driving from Tampa Bay will face extra congestion on I-4 and near the theme parks.

If you're planning a trip to one of the Walt Disney Parks, here are a couple of shortcuts recommended by the News Channel 8 Park Planners:

Exit eastbound I-4 at Exit 58/Champions Gate. Travel south on Osceola Park Road to Old Lake Wilson, then north to US-192. That takes you to World Drive, Disney's main drag.

Often, I-4 backs up before the Champions Gate exit. You can exit the interstate earlier, at US-27, travel north to US-192, and on to World Drive.
