Tri-Community Fire Department crews responded to an apartment fire in Collegedale on Thursday.

It happened at Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove.

The fire department says the fire happened in a microwave in a unit on the third floor.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

Firefighters used a ventilation fan to clear out the smoke.

No one was injured.
