Scammers are trying to take advantage of Bradley County residents.

The Bradley County Sheriff's Office issued a warning Saturday about scammers calling residents and claiming there is a warrant for their arrest.

The scammers also ask the residents to pay them immediately.

The callers are using actual names of BCSO employees, a sheriff's office spokesperson explained.

"Don't believe these calls," the spokesperson added. "If we have a warrant for your arrest, we won't call you. WE SHOW UP AT YOUR FRONT DOOR!"
