UPDATE: TDOT is finished making their repairs on I-75 northbound.

A TDOT spokesperson tweeted just after noon Sunday that all lanes of I-75 NB between exit 7 (Bonny Oaks) and exit 9 (Volkswagen Drive) are now open.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be making concrete repairs on I-75 northbound this weekend, and drivers need to be prepared.

The repairs will be made from mile marker 7.8 to mile marker 8.2 between exit 7 (Bonny Oaks/ Old Lee Highway) and exit 9 (Volkswagen Drive.)

The repairs will be made in lane number 2, so the fast lane will be closed while crews work. Two lanes will remain open while crews work.

The work will begin at 8:00 pm Friday and will continue until 6:00 am Monday. Lanes could reopen earlier if the concrete hardens enough to pass strength tests.

Drivers are asked to obey the signage and pay attention to changing conditions in the work zone.
