Driver uninjured after truck crashes into tree
No one was injured when a truck drove into a tree Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on Vance Street after the truck plowed over a hydrant and struck the tree head-on.
The Chattanooga Fire Department said the call originally came in as a spill. A spokesperson for the department said the impact broke the fuel line, hydraulic line and transmission fluid line.
Additional firefighters were brought in to assist with the leak.
Chattanooga police, city water quality control, Tennessee American Water, Chattanooga Gas, a city arborist and a towing company were all called to the scene.
