Marvel Comics co-creator Stan Lee has died according to TMZ. He was 95.

TMZ reports Lee was rushed by ambulance to the hospital Monday morning where he later passed away.

Lee started Marvel with Jack Kirby in 1961 and created several characters including Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and the X-Men.

Lee appeared in all the Marvel franchise movies. 

The latest installment of the Marvel universe, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is set to release next month. 

Lee's wife, Joan B. Lee, passed away late last year. The couple was married for 69 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Joan Celia.
