The City of Chattanooga uses a collaborative, citizen-driven method called “Budgeting For Outcomes,” make the most efficient and effective use of every taxpayer dollar. The FY20 budget will again focus on delivering results in five priority areas: High Performing Government, Growing Economy, Stronger Neighborhoods, Safer Streets, and Smarter Students & Stronger Families.

This process allows for direct, significant input from the community on what they want the city to fund for the upcoming year.

The City will host three public input sessions around the city to reach citizens in all of Chattanooga’s City Council districts.
