UPDATE: Man killed on E. 3rd Street named as suspect in deadly shooting
UPDATE: Chattanooga police say a man who shot to death on September 29 has been identified as a suspect in deadly shooting the day before on Windsor Street.
Police say 18-year-old Areeyon Lane was identifed by several witnesses as the person responsible for shooting and killing 18-year-old Te'unte Rice on September 28 in the 2000 block of Windsor Street.
Police say Lane was shot to death the next day, September 29, in the 1300 block of East 3rd Street.
A gun was found on Lane and police were able to determine that it was the weapon used to kill Rice.
The incident is still under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: Chattanooga police are investigating a homicide in the 2000 block of Windsor Street.
Officers responded to a 'shots fired' call just after 10:30 pm Friday.
The victim, Te'unte Rice, 18, was taken to an area hospital by a personal vehicle, CPD said. Rice died from his injuries.
Members of the Major Crimes Bureau are investigating.
