Happy Fall, Tennessee Valley!

The rest of your Sunday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain across the viewing area at 30%.  Counties to the west and north (west of I-75, I-59) have a better probability of rain.  Everyone though has a slight chance for a pop-up shower to develop into the evening.  Sunday night's low will be in the upper 60s to 70 with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

We are looking to start the work week on Monday with a drop in temperatures to more seasonable high temperatures in the low 80s.  It will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain chances at 50% over the area with rain coming from a more southerly direction.

For Tuesday, rain chances increase up to 60%, as a cold front approaches. Temperatures in the low 80s on Tuesday with lows on Tuesday night in the upper 60s to 70.

More widespread showers are expected on Wednesday as the front nears with the majority of our viewing area receiving rain (70%).  Thunderstorms may be possible on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will also likely see showers (60%).  With the cold front, comes cooler temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Ending the week on Friday, showers should diminish.  It will be a partly sunny day with clouds and a high around 80.  As of now, skies look to be clearing more on Saturday and Sunday for the weekend, but models are not yet consistent.  Stay tuned to your Channel 3 Storm Alert Team for updates for next weekend.
