Runners participate in Freedom 5K to support people recovering from addictions
Some runners took to the pavement in Chattanooga Saturday.
It was all in support of those in recovery from addictions.
More than 300 runners participated in the Freedom 5K.
David McNabb, president and CEO of Adult & Teen Challenge, was impressed with the turnout.
"It is absolutely phenomenal," McNabb said. "We've had in years past, we've probably had half this group come out. But to see the public being involved, to let everybody know that we're here and we're one of the neighbors helping folks deal with addiction. It means so much for Chattanooga to know we're here and what we're doing."
All of the proceeds from Saturday's run will benefit Adult & Teen Challenge Midsouth.
