Alert employees at an Ace Hardware in Dunlap notified police when they spotted a suspicious man in the store.

When Dunlap police arrived, they recognized the man from surveillance video of previous shoplifting investigations at the store that occurred in June and July of 2018.

Police identified the suspect as 52-year-old Bradley Scott Gribble of Rossville. He was detained by officers and interviewed, and confessed to the previous thefts, and even admitted his intentions of being in the store this day to shoplift power hand tools.

Gribble was arrested for two counts of theft and transported to the Sequatchie County Jail.

Additional theft charges are expected as detectives continue to investigate several shoplifting cases that in which Gribble may have been involved. An accomplice of Gribble, who was with him on previous incidents, is also being sought by officers.

Gribble is also suspected of being involved in shoplifting incidents in Trenton, GA and officers are coordinating their investigation with that police department.
