Good Tuesday.  Today will be a great day to be outdoors!  Skies will be mostly cloudy starting out, but we should see some clearing as we move through the afternoon.  We will a little cool with highs in the low 80s.  Even the humidity will be a bit lower today.  All of that will combine to make for a nice day all around.  The only chance for rain today will be just east of Murphy, NC, and even then we are looking at a 10% chance.

The rest of the week will sport a similar theme.  Tuesday through the weekend we will have highs near 90.  It will be a little humid, and the rain chance will be at best 10% during that time period.

Monday we will possibly get some rain from what will be the remnants of Hurricane Florence, but the timing on that is still up in the air.

As of 5am, Hurricane Florence is a category 4 storm with 140 mph winds.  She will continue to strengthen before making landfall along the North Carolina coast Thursday night into Friday morning.  Rainfall amounts through the weekend along the Carolina coast could reach upwards of 20".

Also in the tropics there is an area of disturbed weather that could bring some heavy rain in the next few days to Texas and Louisiana over the next few days.

In the Pacific, a tropical storm will be moving through the Hawaiian islands near Honolulu on Wednesday.
