Good Monday.  After a fairly stormy weekend we will see a few more showers and storms moving in as a front drifts through the Tennessee Valley.  Look for scattered storms this morning on the plateau and in the Tennessee Valley, moving this afternoon into the Blue Ridge Mtns.  Any showers out there will taper off through the evening.

Tuesday we will start overcast with areas of fog and temps in the mid to upper 60s.  Through the day skies will remain cloudy keeping highs in the low 80s.  The line of storms will be to our east, keeping our rain chances minimal for Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday will also be mostly cloudy with a few showers possible in the afternoon.  We will be a bit warmer with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s both days.

Friday we will be partly cloudy with the high reaching about 90.

This weekend we are keeping an eye on Hurricane Florence.  We will likely not see any rain Saturday with highs in the upper 80s.  Sunday we could get some outer bands of Florence through the day as highs get to the upper 80s.

Hurricane Florence is now strengthening (Category 2 as of 5am) and is forecast to make landfall along the east coast Thursday night as a Category 4 hurricane with 140 mph winds.  It likely will hit along the NC, SC, or VA coastlines.  However, after it moves onshore it looks like it will sit there and spin producing incredible rainfall and flooding along with damaging winds through the weekend.
