UPDATE: Chattanooga police charge suspect in shooting on Wheeler Avenue
UPDATE: Chattanooga police have charged a man for a shooting that happened on September 9.
Police say 26-year-old Darius Woods is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
Woods is accused of shooting a man multiple times in the 900 block of Wheeler Avenue.
The victim's wounds were not life-threatening.
Woods is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail.

PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting.
Just before 5:30 am, officers were called to the 900 block of Wheeler Avenue on a person shot call.
Officers found a man who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital, and his injuries are non-life-threatening.
Members of the Major Crimes Bureau are investigating.
