Good Morning Tennessee Valley,

It looks like most will stay rain free today. By 2PM, isolated showers/t-storms could develop, but these will be very hit and miss. The best chance for rainfall will be east of I-75 through 6PM tonight. Look for afternoon temperatures up to 90 with a heat index of 94 today in the valley.

Saturday morning and early afternoon look dry. Showers will be possible by noon, mainly for the Blue Ridge area, and after 3PM for the valley. Use Saturday to get outdoor chores done, as the better rain chance heads our way Sunday.

Sunday morning there will be dry time. Rain looks to increase west of I-75 by 9AM-1PM, and eventually east of I-75 after 3PM. A slow moving cold front will be working it's way in by Sunday night, but it looks to stall on Monday. Therefore, I've increased our pop for Monday of next week. As of this morning, new data is indicating a wet morning on Monday. Depending on the timing of the front on Sunday, those east of I-75 may top close to 90, while those west will stay in the middle 80s during the day.

Monday and Tuesday of next week will be cooler, with highs in the low 80s as rain continues to move through. Rainfall amounts through Tuesday at this time, from 1" to 2" with rain taper off during the day Tuesday. The end of next week looks to bring little rain chances with temperatures returning to the 90s!
