UPDATE: Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Monday.

Around 11:30 am, Dade County units responded to a single motorcycle crash on I-59 near the Interstate 24 junction.

First responders found the motorcycle off the roadway at the edge of the woods. They also found the injured man and woman.

The man was flown to an area hospital, and the girl was taken in an ambulance.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating what caused the crash.

I-59 northbound was closed for around an hour due to the crash.
