UPDATE: The Silverdale inmate who escaped on Labor Day has been caught.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says Summer Wright was arrested on Tuesday.

Wright escaped authorities during a medical review at a local hospital. She was originally arrested on August 30 in Red Bank for Theft of Property.

Silverdale personnel are working with HCSO personnel to investigate how the escape happened.

PREVIOUS STORY: At approximately 11:50 p.m. EDT Sunday, September 2, Silverdale Detention Center inmate Summer Wright escaped from Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga. She was transported from the facility to the hospital at 9:40 p.m. for medical review.

Summer Wright is a 31-year-old white female currently serving a sentence for Theft of Property (since 8/30/18.) She is 5'4", 154 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Local law enforcement agencies have been notified and are currently searching for the inmate. Anyone with information about Summer Wright should immediately call 911.

Hamilton Co. Sheriff's Office officials are aware of the escape and CoreCivic will work closely with them to review the incident once the inmate has been apprehended.
